1. How can I travel to Archontiko Tzortzis / Pelion / Greece?
For students travelling from outside Greece, Thessaloniki offers the nearest international airport. There are some flights to Volos during the spring and summer months and to the island of Skiathos (a short hop acroos to Volos by ferry or seacat). Transfer from Thessaloniki and Volos Airports to your accommodation can be arranged at extra cost. Most students make their own way to Volos train or bus station. Please make prior arrangements so that a member of the BFS staff can meet you and transfer you by car or minibus to your accommodation. Please ensure that we are aware of your travel details and expected time of arrival.
2. Can I choose my own start date?
To some extent. Private lessons can start at any time of the year. Residential courses begin on a Monday, so that if a place is available, then you can start when you wish.
3. When should I arrive?
You should arrange to arrive at Thessaloniki International Airport or Volos bus or train station the day before your course begins. Courses start on a Monday.
4. Will BFS confirm my booking?
Yes, usually by email and as soon as we can after you have booked.
5. Do I need to bring any documents with me?
You should bring a passport or national ID with you. If you require help/advice with university applications or registration for exams, please bring any relevant documants with you.
6. What will I do on the first day?
Students are usually given a BFS language test on the first day and an individual meeting with a tutor so that we can assess your needs and allocate you to an appropriate group. You will also be intorduced your teachers and shown round Archontiko Tzortzis and Agios Giorgios Nilias village. You will receive an individual timetable, if required, and classes will start on the next day.
